Victor Valdes is very close to transfer to Liverpool, reported "ITV" and "Daily Express".
The 32-year-old goalkeeper is a free agent after his contract with Barcelona expires in June, and his transfer to Monaco failed because of a knee injury.
Victor Valdes has to undergo a medical examination by the end of October and if the results are good, he will sign a contract with Liverpool.
Valdez missed not only the World Cup but the final third of the season for Barcelona last season, but because of the trauma Monaco broke the signed contract, which was to take effect after the end of the campaign, when the contract expired of the 32-year-old goalkeeper with Barca.
Valdez has more than 500 appearances for Barcelona and a whole bunch of trophies, including six in La Liga titles and three Champions League trophy.
