- How do you evaluate the change in La Liga after you left the league?

- I get the feeling that in my day everything in La Liga revolved around the Barca rivalry -;Real Madrid or Real Madrid -;Barca, and from time to time Atletico appeared on stage, winning the King`s Cup. But the two grands were too strong to be overtaken by the teams behind them. I think the difference between Barca and Real Madrid and the other teams is much smaller. The teams, which were not considered favorites for the title at all, are very well prepared tactically and physically, led by strong coaches, with clear organization and leadership structures. I think all this is due to finances. The smaller teams already have the means of transfers, which is why La Liga is such a contested and attractive championship. Gradually, the psychological fear of visiting Camp Nou and Santiago Bernabeu disappeared, and the question of visiting these stadiums is no longer how much the opponents of the grands will lose. More modest teams no longer worry, on the contrary -;gain confidence in their own capabilities. They arrive to fight Real and Barca. Yes, they can lose, but they have faith that they can win. So I think La Liga is a lot more intriguing than before.

- What do you think are the three biggest favorites in La Liga?

- I can`t say exactly which will be the first second and third. My view is that Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona are contenders who can win the title. If we look at the table at the moment, these teams are in the first three places, although they have missed some points. But I can`t say which one will be fourth -;the forces are very even.

- What do you think Joao Felix can give to Simeone and Atletico?

- This boy has tremendous talent. I do not know him personally, but he appears to have a strong character and is able to withstand the tensions he will inevitably have on a team like Atletico even after the transfer amount paid for him. Diego Simeone has a very clear idea exactly how to use it, because he knows that Felix can play both as a typical nine and behind the striker. In addition, he has the ability to act on the flank and move inward to the penalty area. Has a huge technical arsenal. Physically, he is quite sophisticated for a 19-year-old young man and clearly has great potential.

- Can you name the five best players in La Liga. The five who will shine with goals or saves?

- Five are too few. It`s hard for me to say. It seems a little unfair to others, but true
