Pilot Aston Martin Sebastian Vettel said that he has come to terms with the decision to end his career and does not necessarily want to do it on a high note.


According to Vettel, he is well aware that the end of his career is unlikely to be bright and memorable, given the current capabilities of his team.


I thought a lot about the decision to leave, but there are other things that come to mind in connection with this. For example, how important will it be to have a good race? Well, first of all, it would certainly be great to win the last race of my career. But I look at things realistically and understand that it will be very difficult to do this.


Looking at all sides, it might seem that it would be important to win a race or even a title before ending a career. But as I thought and thought about it, I came to the conclusion that the only person for whom this departure is really important is myself. Of course, it would be great to end everything with a beautiful story, to leave beautifully. But in the end, you realize that you have to leave anyway.


And it`s just me. No, it`s not selfishness, I just see it that way. I made a decision and put up with it. I know that my last race in my career is unlikely to turn out bright and be among the best, but for me it does not matter, - said Vettel.
