The General Manager of Parma Sandro Melly compared the dire financial condition of the Club with the sinking of the ship Titanic.
The Club is currently bottom in Serie a with only 10 points from 23 matches, but more troubling are the financial problems of the Club, for which the last home game against Udinese was postponed.
The Club was unable to pay wages, and in recent days have been taken and measures to deal with the situation as a sale of parts of the locker room and self laundering teams because of the refusal of household services.
'I realized that we were on the Titanic.' said Melly told the Corriere Delo sport. 'Above the deck is all first-class, beautiful, shiny, with dancing folks like former President Tommaso Girardi and the President Pietro Leonardi. But there is also a second level and third.'
'I thought I was going to sink with the first obstacle in front of us. The iceberg was a UEFA licence. Do you remember what happened on the Titanic? Those in first class were saved, those at the bottom were left to die.'
'And obviously the captain, the one with the beard, sinking his ship. Who is the master here? Donadoni, of course.'
