Mass arrests in Italy 19.05.2015

The police in Italy have arrested 50 people for suspected in the organization and conducting of fixed football matches, reported the local media.
Among those arrested there are players, former and current managers of clubs from the third division and amateur clubs. Some of the detainees are foreigners, there is also a police officer.
The suspects are about 70 and more arrests are expected as the operation is conducted in 10 areas of the country – Lombardy, Veneto, Liguria, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Abruzzo, Campania, Puglia and Calabria. At least 30 teams have taken part in the fixed matches.
