Matia Nastasic attacked verbally the club manager Manuel Pellegrini. He was sold at Schalke 04 and the Serbian national claimed that the Chilean mentor and not his vote of confidence.
The 22-year-old player was drawn by Roberto Mancini in 2012 and under his leadership quickly established himself as a starter. The dismissal of Italian, however, put the start of the problems for the central defender. He recorded only 13 games in the Premier League under the guidance of Pellegrini, and in January was ceded in Schalke.
There Nastasic has become a real furor, and the Germans were waiting for the end of the season not to exercise his option for his transfer.
'This has always been a strong team composed of 25 top players, but the coach may place only 11 of them on the ground. It's not easy.', commented NastasiÄ.
'In my first year I've played a lot of matches. The first half of the second season was also good. Then I got injured and I didn't play for three months. Then I went back and I never got a chance.'
'I spoke with Manuel Pellegrini, talked two or three times. He said he would give me a chance, but I dis not believe him. It was very hard.'
