The financial statements of Sampdoria showed that the former President of the Club Edoardo Garrone has invested over 60 million euros in the club.
The topic around their money has become very topical in Italy, after the 'Gazzetta Delo sport' came out with the news that Sampdoria has some serious losses. This patron Massimo Ferrero saw forced publicly to explain that the 'Luigi Ferraris' financial situation is stable.
That didn't stop the sport daily newspaper to drill more seriously in their investigation. The result of it is the revelation that in 2014 Garrone has invested 62 million euro in the holding company, whose ownership is the club.
Ferrero, in turn, has scored 36 million euros, almost 30 of them are invested directly by the company.
On balance, however, is clear – yet most of the money in Sampdoria came from the former owner, and not by Ferrero.
