| | Van Gaal: 'We will have to cope without Rooney.'19.02.2016 |
The captain of Manchester United, Wayne Rooney will be sidelined for six weeks because of an injury, and the manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that the striker will be missing a lot of the team.
'He scored a lot of goals, so he is important to us. We know that, but we have to deal with the situation.', said van Gaal.
Due to an injury, the 30-year-old Rooney was not included in the squad for the match with Midtjylland.
Rooney was playing in Saturday's game at United against Sunderland, despite the pains that felt, but Van Gaal declined to criticize him.
'He is a man who wants to deliver gas to the end and if he feels pain, he does not want it to come out. He wants to win. This is fantastic, but sometimes this behavior is bad for the body.'
