New disagreement emerged between the leadership of Roma legend Francesco Totti and on the player's new contract, Italian media reported.
It was expected to be formally announced today a new agreement to leave Totti at the Olimpico for another season.
At this stage, however, the club's President James Pallotta and Totti can not reach an agreement on the salary of the 39-year-old Totti. By the time the legendary number 10 took a 3.5 million euros per season and he wants to receive 3 million if it gets reassigned. Pallotta is adamant, however, that it is willing to give 1 million euros to the veteran.
The other obstacle is on the prestigious rights to Totti, who now belong to the club. The player, however, wants to possess the sole marketing rights over his countenance, which doesn't work for the leadership.
