Bartomeu: 'We wanted to keep Claudio Bravo.' 31.08.2016

The Barcelona President Jose Maria Bartomeu stressed that the management of the club and the coaching staff were trying to convince Claudio Bravo to remain at the Camp Nou. The player, however, chose to continue his career at Manchester City.
'Till the very end, we made attempts to oblige Bravo in Barcelona. We offered him a new contract, but he had other projects.', announced Bartomeu.
Before the start of this season, Bravo and his colleague Marc-Andre ter Stegen asked for assurances that the club will be in the starting formation. These were not given and he decided to shift his club affiliation.
The friend of Bravo and Chilean goalkeeper Julio Rodriguez argues that the player has left Barcelona because of bad relations with Ter Stegen.
