FIFA imposed a severe penalty on Chile 21.12.2016

The FIFA headquarters imposed a severe penalty on Chile for homophobic chants of the fans of the selection. The team was penalized with two official matches without audience plus a fine of 30,000 Swiss francs.
The unfortunate incident took place on 15 November this year at the world qualification between Chile and Uruguay (3:1).
