The experienced striker Jermain Defoe has made an agreement with AFC Bournemouth for a three-year contract, claims the media. The 34-year-old footballer became a free agent after Sunderland dropped out from the Barclays Premier League. Defoe yesterday held final talks with the club and both sides had agreed with each other.
According to the press, Defoe will get 130 000 pounds a week at Bournemouth. The veteran finished last season with 15 goals in the Barclays Premier League despite the bad campaign of the Black Cats.
Defoe has already played with the team at AFC Bournemouth. It happened 17 years ago when the Cherries competed in the third division.
Bournemouth made the offer to the experienced Chelsea defender John Terry, who that day played his last match for the Blues from London.
