Sandro Rosell explained his resignation as Barcelona president in January 2014.

I left my position due to daily death threats that were received at my parents` home. They received anonymous calls and letters. It was very serious and frightening.

We contacted the police, but it was impossible to find out who was behind this. To spare my family suffering, I decided to resign.

We didn`t explain this because I don`t like to play the victim. with Neymar helped me explain why I was leaving because I didn’t know how to do it differently.

Leaving was absurd because in terms of titles and economics it was the best four years in the club`s history, ” Rosell said.
