Pedri spoke about the system of fines for Barcelona players. Previously, the midfielder had already spoken out about the punishment system that appeared after Hans-Dieter Flick joined the club.
Pedri talked about how a couple of years ago he was late for recovery training on the morning after returning late from a trip. He also recalled the penalties that Xavi applied.
I don’t know why the alarm didn’t go off, I had about a dozen missed calls. I got dressed in 30 seconds, rushed over, and they waited for me to come to my senses. I walked in red as a tomato.
On the day of the match, fines are always much higher if, for example, you are late for a meeting when the team checks into the hotel.
There are coaches who count fines by the minute, for example, five minutes – 5, 000 euros. But Xavi had 5, 000 for being late, and the next fine was already doubled.
If this happens four or five times, it’s really bad, ” said the Barcelona midfielder.
He also said that Flick does not have any monetary fines as such, but if he is late, the footballer does not play.
