Cannis Antetokounmpo is trying to transform his game. As he approaches his 30th birthday, the forward is preparing for the later stages of his career.
At my age, I realized that in order to remain effective and achieve victories with the team, I needed to change my game.
I`m very effective in the paint, but this kind of basketball is too contact, I get hit all the time.
Now I play back-to-back and feel great. It was as if no one had touched me. It`s an incredible feeling, I really like it, so I`m moving in that direction.
Last year I think I made 39 mid-range shots in 73 games. This year already over 40 in 16 games.
I`m literally changing my game and I`m really excited about it. I`ve wanted to do this for a very long time. Sometimes I won`t hit, like in the last match. But this time I was quite accurate, I hope that I will be even more accurate in the future. It reduces the level of contact, and my teammates want me to continue shooting, so I will do that, ” concluded the Bucks Greek forward.
