Avangard signed a contract with ex-New Jersey and Barysa MacLeod forward until the end of the season 13.12.2024

Avangard signed a contract with Canadian forward Michael MacLeod. The agreement is valid until the end of this season.
On October 18, Barys terminated the contract with Michael MacLeod.  The forward played 16 matches for the team in the Fonbet KHL Championship and scored 6 (3+3) points.
Recall that MacLeod is one of the defendants in the sex scandal involving players of the 2018 Canadian youth team. He is accused of sexual assault, as are four of his other teammates.  He will have to participate in court hearings in this case next year.  
In the NHL, MacLeod (12th overall pick in the 2016 draft) played 287 games for New Jersey and scored 85 points (29 goals, 56 assists) on 58. 3% faceoffs won.
