The German point guard strengthened the Warriors. According to ESPN insider Shams Charania, Golden State traded 31-year-old Schröder from Brooklyn, giving in return De`Anthony Melton and 3 second-round picks.
Schroder has an expiring $13 million deal.
Previously, De`Anthony Melton was ruled out for the season with a torn ACL. His contract is $12. 8 million.
In addition, the Warriors will receive one second-round pick from the Nets.
Schroeder is one of the best point guards this season. His averages are 18. 4 points and 6. 6 assists in 33. 6 minutes. He makes 6. 5 three-pointers and makes 39% of them.
Golden State head coach Steve Kerr admitted that the team had problems after Melton`s injury: the team needed an additional point guard who could organize the attack of the reserve five and implement long-range shots.
