Ivan Juric will lead Southampton. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the contract with the 49-year-old Croatian specialist will be signed today. The coach will take Russell Martin`s place.
Juric previously worked in Genoa, Verona and Torino. This season he became head coach of Roma, but was sacked less than two months after signing his contract.
Southampton won only one match this season in the Premier League - against Everton (1:0). In 16 rounds the team scored 5 points and is in 20th and last place in the English Championship.
Southampton sacked Martin after 0-5 defeat to Tottenham. The Saints are last in the Premier League with 5 points from 16 matches
